THIS IS LIFE

It was 5th of September yesterday which is celebrated as Teachers Day in India.
My wife had to visit a hospital for routine surveilance by the doctors.
My wife has spent her whole life guiding the children and helping them better their prospects in life.
We spent practically the whole day in the hospital undergoing medical tests and their evaluation. We had a harrowing time, but seeing the misery of others we forgot our own plight. We admire the dedication and courage of doctors and other nursing staff who are serving admirably under such stress.
In the evening we returned home thoroughly exhausted and tired after a drive of more than two hours.
On arrival we were pleasantly surprised to see two of her ex students waiting for her to greet and for saying 'Thank You Teacher, we love you for being a great teacher'.
This is life...sweet and not so bitter ....

Mer Beti Ahiste chalo

Meri Beti, meri sun
Raftar Khatarnak hai !
Masoom hansee
Dilkash si ada
Bholi si shakal,
Irade Napak hain !
Sheerin alfaz,
Hathon mein chhure,
Kandhe pe jaal,
Pase pusht kafas,
Tapakti laaren
Ankhon mein hawas !
Maine dekha hai
Khilti kaliyon ko
Ujadate baghon ko
Chahkati chiriyon ko,
Jhapatey baazon ko
Bikhartey sapnon ko,
Chhoot tey apnon ko,
Har kadam soch ke rakh,
Apna bhala bura parakh,
Zamana taras nahi khata
Mauka milne pe
Hai dass jata,
Zara ahista chalo !

Ahista chalo Meri Beti ! Ahista !!
Raftar khatarnak hai !
Main to kuchh der mein
Utth jaoonga
Phir kabhi laut
Naheen paoonga
Meri baatein zara
Ghaur se sun,
Zyada aale jaale tu na bun.
Gutargun pyar nahin hota,
Har baat ko taul, parakh
Sach jhooth mein
Hota hai farak,
Zamana taras nahin khata
Mauka milne par hai dass jaata !!
Ahista chalo, Meri Beti Ahista !

Bougainevilea!

BougainvilleaImage via Wikipedia
Red bougainvillea
has put its arms
around the white pillar
on this cold frosty night;
the moon is silently looking
through the clouds
with half closed eyes at

the lovers on the beach;
it has gone behind the clouds;
silently they slipped out

singing a song of love,
mingling their song
with the dancing waves!

The whole night
they roamed
on the beach gathering seashells!

Wet sand over their bodies,
their faces,
their hands
their hair,
tired smiles
sprinkled all over
the horizon.

White pillar has turned to stone.

Bougainvilea is swaying
in the morning breeze.
Nobody knows what
happened between the lovers
in the night!
