Why 'viharinama'

I spent first 10 years of my life inVihari which was a small town in Multan distt. of Panjab (Pakistan) which is now a big sprawling town and a cantonment in Pakistan. At that time it was a Notified Area Committe town with a population of estimated 5,000 or so. It was a part of the 'ganji' bar. It was a very flourishing 'grains' and cotton market. Which reminds me of one tragic incident in which a 'bahrupia' - a professional impersonator - was burnt alive. But about it later in my next post.
